AGAFI- African Green
Aspirers Forward Initiative is an indigenous, nonprofit, non-governmental
organization established, registered and
licensed by the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia,
Authority for Civil Society Organizations in accordance with the Proclamation
No.1113/2019
AGAFI is founded by likeminded individuals who served for decades in the areas of Development, Environment, Natural resources management, Humanitarian and Emergencies, Refugee and Migrations, and Diplomacy. It is authentic, led by a Director with a program Team, and members with a visionary call, passion and inspiration for Life of Greatness “Living in Harmony with Nature for Infinity”, set a mission to work limitless sustaining productive, healthier and safer environment with protection and dignity of human, particularly the most vulnerable to be resilient and sustain their livelihoods.
Agafi designed and intend to operate in five major thematic areas which are Environment and Climate, Education and Skill, Livelihoods diversification, Human right and Emergency assistances and Advocacy and Lobbying. AGAFI targets underserved communities, including women, children, and refugees, who face heightened risks due to environmental degradation and socio-economic instability. Our initiatives are designed to empower these groups by providing access to resources, education, and advocacy, ultimately contributing to their long-term well-being and resilience
As a “change agent” we work on advocacy and lobbying on pragmatic policy, development, and implementation, follow up and review with all stakeholders. We integrate cross-cutting issues with preliminary mapping, identification, through partnership and consortiums.
